Measure to fit
Measure your head size with a tailors tape measure for exact measurements. Or look at your favorite, best fitting hat for size specifications. Measure just above the ears and across the forehead where the sweatband would naturally sit.

About Jane
Jane has been making handcrafted alpaca and fiber products for over 15 years. She and her husband have owned alpacas since 2004, and in that time she has embraced every aspect of fiber arts, from knitting, to spinning, weaving, and. felting. She has been processing her own fiber from their forty acre farm in the Ozark mountains since 2010. If you have an idea or a vision, Jane would love to work with you to bring your fiber dreams to reality.
About the process
Their are many steps involved to bring your custom hat into the world. It starts with managing the herd and shearing the alpacas. Once sheared, the fiber is sorted, cleaned, and made into roving. It is then custom dyed. No two color batches are exactly alike.
After the fiber has been prepared, the hats can then take shape. Through a laborious process of "wet felting" the hats are molded on a shaper and left to dry. After the hat is formed, the rim is cut and sewn, the hat is stiffened and steamed, and the sweatband and headband is hand sewn. The final touches are added and your custom hat is ready!
